I have been retired now for over five years from the local public schools. I have lived in a small town in N.C. for over thirty-eight years. I was born a country girl in Virginia about thirty miles from where I live today.
I am still married to the same guy and have been for almost 39 years. I am a mother and grandmother.
All during the years I have had so many people to come to me and ask what’s on your menu tonight. I have heard so many times “I wish I knew what to fix for dinner tonight.”
With that in mind, I’ve decided to do a daily menu with recipes included to help those who just do not know what to fix for dinner.
I, along with my brother and sisters and Mom, have a garden still up the country where my birth home is.
I do lots of canning, freezing, pickling, jellies, etc. A lot of my menus will relate to this. You, however, can substitute with store bought products.
Anyone can cook. Just get in there and have at it. I have always had a love for the taste of good food whether it be something very simple or very complex. I like food to look good and taste good.
I even like to add a little splash of design to my table of foods. I like to make people feel special when they come to my house and to my table.
Life today is such a fast moving and busy agenda for everyone; why not make a memory for them and have a nice meal with a few added touches.
Gonna miss those postings! Have a GREAT trip! See you when you return and start cooking again! Hugs!!!
